Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician from Mexico was born into the music-loving parents of her family. Her childhood was spent listening to traditional and old boleros, as well as the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana is an avid fan of tangos. Also, she loves operas as well as any drama. Ana began learning and singing songs with her mother she began her more intensive training in singing at the age of 16 under the renown Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara and then in Toluca in the School of Sacred Music. In her early career, she included performances with a variety of orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs in Guadalajara. After 2000, she emigrated to in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007 she moved to her current home in Southern California. She's a regular solo performer at private parties and events singing classical Latin American Music. Alongside being an active performer as well as an instructor the passion for arts and music keeps her involved in a range of initiatives. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor at the Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for having the chance to share her passion and passion of the traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to instill a sense of to, particularly in the younger age group to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
